What is Youth Group?

Youth Group is open to 6th grade through 12th grade students every Wednesday from 6 pm to 8 pm. We provide a free dinner for the kids, play games, and hang out. At 7 pm, we split into middle school and high school groups for lessons led by adult helpers or through video sessions. After the lessons, we break into smaller groups by age and gender for more focused discussions, with dedicated leaders guiding the conversations. Youth Group ends at 8 pm, and parents can pick up their kids from Irish Den at that time!

Lock-In

In November, Irish Den teams up with the Chapman Nazarene Church for a night of fun! Churches from across the state gather in Wichita for worship, a brief message, and some pizza. Following that, the groups split up and rotate between ice skating, a trampoline park, and All-Star Sports arcade with go-karting, laser tag, and rock climbing.

Youth Events

In addition to the weekly youth group, we also host monthly events for high school and middle school students.

High School Camp

In June, we take high schoolers to Camp Table Rock for a weekend of camping, fun, and growing their faith.

Middle School Camp

In July, we take a group of middle schoolers to summer camp for lake activities, paint balling, and team building activities.

Praise-Fest

An outdoor concert event held in Manhattan, KS every September featuring a variety of Christian artists.

5th Quarter

An event exclusively for high school students, taking place after a home football game, featuring a meal, games, and giveaways.

Game Night

A night of fun, socializing, and friendly competition with some minute-to-win it style games!

End of School/Beginning of School Parties in the Park

We love to kick off and wrap up each school year with a big celebration! We have a cookout at the park, play games, and sometimes enjoy a massive water slide!

Skate Night

We rent out the skating rink in Junction City for a night of roller skating fun!

These are just a few of the many events we host for our students, and we are constantly brainstorming more ways to have fun.

Irish Den also hosts various fundraising events throughout the year to raise funds for camp and lock-in scholarships, ensuring that all students have access to the activities regardless of financial constraints.
